I grew up in western Queensland and began my career as a lawyer in Paris. I’ve lived in Yangon, Nîmes, Phnom Penh, Sydney, Brussels, Bahrain and Berlin.

My first novel, Drown Them in the Sea won the Vogel/Australian literary award and the Sydney Morning Herald’s Young Novelist of the Year Award.
